Our very own Event Sage put her event planning skills to work for us to create a fun filled day and night of celebrations for our end of year celebration. The team was spoiled with surprise after surprise as details were expertly kept to a minimum.

All we knew was that we were heading to Whistler, staying at the Fairmont, and to obviously dress for the cold.

To begin our day we were whisked away to Ziptrek EcoTours for their Bear Tour. After a few very nervous trips to the bathroom (due to a nasty fear of heights) we were harnessed up and led out to the tree tops.

Our tour guides did a brilliant job of calming our nerves and ensuring we knew we were safe and that we were in more than capable hands. We missed Whistler’s torrential downpour by one day and had stunning views of the Mountains and icy creeks. After the first zipline the group had relaxed into to the swing of the tour and were attempting acrobatic stunts for the rest of the day. If you can drag yourself away from the slopes for a couple of hours this really is a must-do of Whistler!

Knowing us all too well, Kim gave strict instructions not to be late to meet for dinner, another surprise occasion. We met up and our evening with Whistler Tasting Tours was revealed. This company does a great job pulling an evening like this together. Our tour included an exciting array of Whistler’s best restaurants who all offered perfectly timed meals, delicious food and matched wines. Our host for the tour discreetly facilitated the night extremely well. She let us enjoy each course without making us feel rushed, and she imparted great local knowledge about each restaurants.

Our night was fantastic and the tour was an excellent way of enjoying Whistler’s best restaurants in just one night. We can highly recommend it as a great experience to share with a group of friends or colleagues for any occasion.

This is just an outline of the major activities we were offered, however Kim didn’t miss a beat with the smaller details either. For anyone looking for hints on how to plan the perfect Christmas party for next year, take note because this is how it’s done! Stay tuned in the new year as www.eventsage.com offered hints and suggestions to ensure your event is a great success!

Happy Holidays, from your Eventsage Team.
